LA Premier League : Manager Info
FOR THE MANAGERS Any protests should be made at halftime (not during play) or after the game so that the referee might be involved and provide an objective opinion, based on rosters turned in and appropriate ID if rosters not final yet, and then communicated to the league commissioner within 24 hours of the game, or it will not be heard. If a manager cannot field a team, he should contact the current league manager and the opposing team manager at least 48 hours before game time. The opposing manager may elect to not agree to reschedule, and to play the game regardless. He has a right to do this based upon the binding initial schedule agreement, and the fact that his players have made plans to be at the game. Agreeing to reschedule is entirely voluntary, and NOT required of the opposing manager. The opposing team may accept a forfeit, which is a 2-0 win. If contacted with less than 48hrs notice, then the forfeiting manager will absorb the entire referee fee for that day. If the opposing manager agrees to not play, one of the following might occur: the opposing manager may elect to keep the slot and play a friendly against a different team of their choice. The cancelling team will get a credit of the hourly field rental fee if done within this 48hrs, and the field rental fee will be owed by the team who plays the friendly and was not scheduled for the original time slot. If the opposing manager does not want the time slot to play, it opens up to whichever 2 teams within LAPL who want to play. Each cancelling team is credited and each playing team that was not originally scheduled owes the hourly field rental fee. If neither team can play and the league is notified within 48 hours of game time, the league manager will call the school and cancel the time slot. Both cancelling teams receive credit for the hourly rental fee. The opposing team may agree to play the cancelling team at a different time. If they choose to play, then they must make all field and referee arrangements themselves and email a final score to the league manager. Any team that does not have 7 players on the field at 5 minutes past game start time, will automatically forfeit the game. Both teams may choose to play a friendly once the forfeit is established. A player may not switch to another team without the consent of his previous manager. All outstanding team fees must be settled before changing teams. A player who leaves a team with money owed, may not play for any other team in the league until he has settled to his previous manager's satisfaction. A team playing such a player will be asked to add him in the appropriate manner, or risk forfeiture of games using the unauthorized player. As of LAPL XIV there shall be no players under the age of 30 on a team unless grandfathered in from the LAPL XI season. The remaining players on the roster must all be over 30 years of age (born 1983 for the 2013 season). Not conforming to these rules are grounds for forfeiture of games. The goalie may be any age. For those new teams with a few under 30 players, no more than 3 under 30 players are allowed on the field of play at any one time. If more than 3 are played, then the game is subject to forfeit. Any manager playing an illegal non-roster player will forfeit the current game in question, as well as the prior two victories (a total of 9 point deduction). |
